Davide Romano

I am FCT Junior Researcher at the Centre of Philosophy at the University of Lisbon, working on the FCT research project: “The Emergence of the Classical World from Quantum Mechanics”. Before coming to Lisbon, I have been Ernst Mach postdoctoral fellow at Salzburg University, scientific collaborator (teaching assistant) at the Polytechnic University of Milan and visiting researcher at the University of Aberdeen and the University of Trieste. I have obtained my PhD in philosophy from the University of Lausanne, with a dissertation on the classical limit in the de Broglie—Bohm theory.

My research is in the philosophy and foundations of quantum mechanics. I am especially interested in the realistic interpretations of quantum mechanics (GRW theory and spontaneous collapse models, de Broglie—Bohm theory, Everett theory/MWI), the nature of the wave function, decoherence theory and the classical limit of quantum mechanics.
