Jeovet Baca Virgínia holds a master degree in General Philosophy from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the NOVA University Lisbon (2017), with the dissertation entitled “The principle of the politics of recognition in Rousseau according to Charles Taylor”. Has a degree in Philosophy from the Instituto Superior Don Bosco of the Catholic University of Angola (2015), with a monograph entitled “The man in the world from the perspective of Martin Heidegger”.

Currently, Jeovet Baca Virgínia is a PhD student in the PhD program Ethics, Democracy and Societal Challenges at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Professor Soraya Nour Sckell and Professor Carlos João Correia. The thesis project aims to analyze language as one of the fundamental elements for the construction of narrative identity. The construction of narrative identity is a process of discovery, and this discovery is not a task performed in isolation, but negotiated in external and internal dialogues. This investigation will be based on the following contemporary authors: Ernst Cassirer, Charles Taylor and Achille Mbembe.

The most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and cultural artistic production are: identity; multiculturalism; culture; fundamental rights.
