Rui Sampaio da Silva is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the University of the Azores. His main areas of academic studies are epistemology, philosophy of science and philosophy of action, and his present research interests are: rationality theory; causal inference; laws and mechanisms in science; moral psychology.
