Sara Pinto Totta graduated in Philosophy from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. Currently is in final phase of the MA in Philosophy in the same institution focusing on the study of the dialectic category of totality in the ontology of Karl Marx, under the scientific tutory of Professor José Barata-Moura. Besides the study of the marxist philosophy, and in relation with the latter, her main research fields are “German Idealism”, specially the thinking of Hegel, Fichte and Kant, and the metaphysics of Aristotle. She held two research scholarship from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia in 2008 and 2011, and received research scholarship from Fundação Amadeu Dias, both with research on Husserl’s and Heidegger’s philosophy, with emphasis on the last one wich was the object of her undergraduation thesis.
Since 2010, Sara is a member of Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa, integrated in the research field dedicated to History of Philosophy, collaborating in many scientific events promoted by the institution. Also, since 2010, Sara is a member of Grupo de Estudos Marxistas.
