Sandra Escobar is graduated in Philosophy and holds a Master degree in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art. Currently is a PhD candidate in Philosophy of Nature and the Environment with a FCT’s grant at Faculty of Letters of University of Lisbon. She studied at the University Tor Vergata in Rome (1998-1999), was a high school Philosophy teacher (2001/2011) and invited assistant at Portuguese Open University (2011/2012). Is a student member of the Centre of Philosophy of the University of Lisbon and member of Sociedade de Ética Ambiental. Her main areas of research are Aesthetics, Environmental Ethics, Bioethics and Gender Studies.
